For once, predictions on the best cards of the set were fairly accurate-- the top 8 cards are incredibly strong, and Abyss turned out to be the cancer we expected it to be. However, one must ask: where are Phantom Cat and Tove?

This expansion brought several quite interesting cards that most likely won't see competitive play. However, watch out for Jabberwock OTK, Windmill-Hamsa OTK, Alice ToS, and Corpselord... never mind, there's nothing to make with Corpselord.

Corpselord of Woe is the only legendary card to ever have made the Worst 10 list in expansion voting. Sorry, Shadowcraft, but this is the only way to balance Eachtar.

There was no keyword this expansion, but there was Neutral synergy, carried on the back of Alice. Some of these neutral synergies far outstrip comparable faction cards, which is what has made the theme so dominant this expansion.

What a surprise-- Blood is at the top! On the other hand, Dragon received nothing but a neutral friend in Queen of the Dread Sea, and most other classes are scrambling for Tier 2.

The rarity gradient is smaller than ever, with only an 18-point split between Legendary and Bronze. In TotG, this split was 25 points. We'll see how attitudes towards card rarities develop as the meta progresses.
